The Elections Chief chaired a discussion to brief the State Media as to the guidelines it should adhere to in the Provincial Council elections.
The discussion presided by the Elections Commissioner Mahinda Deshapriya was held at the Media Ministry. It was attended by Secretary to the Ministry of Mass Media and Information Charitha Herath, Government Information Director General Prof. Ariyaratne Ethugala and Heads of Government and Print Media. Referring to the criteria of the State Media in the Provincial poll, the Elections Chief issued instructions to safeguard them.
