Vesange Maha Geeetha Govindaya, a selection of devotional songs to mark the Vesak celebrations will be held at 7 pm today at the Sirimavo Bandaranaike Memorial Hall, at the BMICH premises Colombo. Songs sung by Buddhsits, Hindus, Muslims, Catholics and Christian vocalists will be featured with music provided by veteran Music Director Rohana Weerasinghe. The event is being organized by the Ministry of Mass Media & Information.
Dr. Pandit W.D. Amaradeva, Vincent Paul Peiris, Sunil Edirisinghe, Ishak Beig, Champa Kalhari, Nirosha Virajini , Himantha, Heshan, Chandrasena Hettiarchchi, Amith Walpola, Bachi Susan, Supriya Abeysekera, Erandi Dassanayake, Athula Adikari, Kavisha Kaviraj, Udaya Sri , Chnadana Liyanaarchchi and Suriyakumar Muththalage are scheduled to perform at the show.
