Mr.Charitha Herath, Secretary to the Ministry of Mass Media and Information yesterday had a special discussion at the Ministry with film directors with the objective of strengthening the Government process to upgrade the local film industry.
Discussions were conducted at length regarding the formulation of a systemized process to screen locally produced films so as not to disrupt producers and directors. Mr. Ashoka Serasinghe, Chairman of the National Film Corporation too was present in this discussion held to resolve the issue pertaining to the screening of films.
